Blast from the Past

I found this hilarious picture on my brothers facebook page. So, needless to say i died laughing. This is my Dad and two older brothers. Too funny. I wish i saw a lot more of these guys, but i guess life happens.

Easter with the Haynies!

I have come to terms witht the fact that i am just going to always be behind on this blog. In a way i am glad that i dont feel a need to be blogging all the time, because that could take over my life. But, on the other hand i want to keep up with whats going on in the family. So, i guess late is better than never.

This Easter was really fun. Our kids got into the whole easter egg hunt and had a lot of fun. Our neighborhood did a small hunt that was the perfect size. There were maybe 20-30 kids and they had it split up by age. It was so fun to see Bella look out for Nixon, and for Nixon to just wander around while the other kids did a mad dash for the eggs. If only he had known there was candy in them, then it would have been another story. He has become a picky eater over the last month or two. It wouldnt be odd to hear him say "hocolate baw" over and over. It makes me laugh because he is just saying what i am thinking :) Luckly our other kids eat just about anything, so as Paul says, 1 out of three isn't too bad.

We got these Easter headbands a few years ago from the dollar store and i think they have made it into every years Easter pictures since then. The kids love them and dont want to take them off all day. They think its especially funny when daddy puts on the pink sparkled flower.

We had an extra fun treat this year. Sarah's brother Mack was the Easter Bunny at the grocery store. We knew when he would be there so we were sure to stop by and say hi. It was funny because the progression of our children was obvious. Hudson LOVED it and chased him down to give him a hug and say hi. Bella liked him, but only from a distance. Nixon was terrified! Thats sort of an understatement because he was clinging to us for dear life and wouldnt stop screaming until we were a safe distance away, which ended up being outside in the car.

Twins Baby Shower

My super cute friend Noelle is having twins! Ok, so she is actually now 35 weeks and about to have the babies any day! I fugured its not too bad if i actually post these pics before she has them. Right? Better 5 months late than never. Here are some pictures from the shower Cassie and I threw for her.

Here is the Cute mama with some family and friends.

We did a fun "Feather their Nest" Bird themed Shower. Cassie did a super cute Italian soda bar, we also had chocolate melting cakes. Anyone that has been on a Carnival cruise will know what those babies are!

We did indiviual packages of "Bird Seed" or in other words homemade granola. It was so fun and I hope everything goes well in the short few weeks (or days) until hip and pip are here!!

Cakes!!

Check out all the cakes i have been making lately at...

more to come soon!

My Moody Little Princess

My little princess is getting so big lately. She is so girly and so independent, and drama... she reminds me of myself when i was litttle. Her favorite things these days are painting her nails with mommy and brushing her hair in front of the mirror (while singing "flower gleam and glow, let your power shine...". Its hilarious. Obviously she is lovin on the movie Tangled. She still loves her Teddy that aunt Courtney gave her. She has loved that thing since birth...its true. I have never seen a newborn snuggle with anything, but she did.

These are some pictures from valentines. They were too cute not to post.

It seems like she grew overnight. She and Hudson are the same height now and I get asked everywhere we go if they are twins. They might as well be since she thinks she is in charge.

Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday was in March and the kids and Paul thought it would be fun to throw me a surprise party. Paul took them to the store to get decorations, cake, a present and they even brought home dinner. They chose a necklace and one of those recordable books for me. I loved it. I can tell it took a lot of time for paul to get the kids to cooperate in recording their little voices reading me a story, but its something i will love forever. When they are older and have kids of their own i will still be able to listen to their sweet little voices.

Nixon's First Hair Cut

Nixon finally got his first real haircut! He was 18 months old when those little hairs finally started growing long enough to trim. My kids dont have much hair. I think Bella's hair grows the slowest of all. She is 3 and her hair still doesnt touch her shoulders.

We didnt take a before picture, but here is the after on this dapper little man!
